5 String Viola 2023

Here is my model of a 5 string viola, its body is based upon a viola made in England, 1641 by Jacob Rayman owned by Ben Hebbert who kindly let me measure it. This 5 string is powerful, balanced, sweet on the E string and very comfortable to play! Its detailed head is inspired by the legend of Robin Hood.

A copy of the Viotti, a Stradivarius violin from 1709.

The Viotti is considered one of the best example of Stradivari’s work during his golden period.
